My research involves using life-cycle and techno-economic analyses to elucidate the design space for engineering materials, chemicals, and processes to create system-level impacts. My current focus is in biofuels, transportation systems, and the water-energy nexus.

Participating in the NAE’s FOE program is about exchanging ideas and making connections that have helped me move my research and career forward.
